Lanoue Appraisals is a local family run business owned and operated by Mike Lanoue that has been providing professional automotive appraisals for over 25 years.

 

Mike was born and raised in Belle River, Ontario. From very early on he was fascinated by cars, trucks, and really anything with an internal combustion engine. This fascination soon developed into a passion for learning and understanding the intricacies of mechanical design and the inner workings of automotive vehicles. This desire led Mike to obtain a diploma in automotive power and technology from St. Clair College in Windsor, Ontario. Not satisfied with simply understanding the mechanics of the vehicles he worked on Mike soon entered the sales side as well. This move into sales would eventually span over 30 years and saw Mike partner with local dealers on a contractual basis, utilizing their facilities to move his own stock of cars and trucks. Along the way Mike became licensed with OMVIC (Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council) and he received his Ministry of Transportation (MTO) appraiser certification in 1991.

Today, after close to 40 years on the front lines of the auto industry, Mike remains as passionate about vehicles as he was when he first embarked on his lifelong journey in 1978. He remains very active in the Windsor-Essex automotive community and has built a network of contacts over the years that allows him to facilitate anything anyone could conceivably need in relation to motorized vehicles.
